What if this year’s offertory program not only strengthened your parish’s mission now, but also helped secure its future for generations to come?

That’s exactly what we’re aiming for with this year’s Called to Serve: Sharing Our Blessings, Strengthening Our Church — and the exciting addition of My Catholic Will.

This fall marks the start of our shared mission to inspire parishioners across the Archdiocese of Baltimore to give with purpose and joy.

This year, we’re taking it one step further: helping parishioners not only commit to supporting their parish today, but also make plans that reflect their faith long after they’re gone.

The Three Commitments We’re Asking Parishioners to Consider

On this year’s Called to Serve commitment card, parishioners will be invited to prayerfully check one or more of these:

My Weekly Offertory Commitment

I am committed to increasing my weekly gift to support the mission of our parish.

My new weekly gift amount: $__________

My Legacy of Faith

I am committed to creating or updating my will and prayerfully including our parish as part of my legacy. www.mycatholicwill.com/archbalt

Consistent Online Giving

I am committed to giving online and will set up my gift to recur automatically each week.

How It Works This Year

Think of this as a two-part effort:

  • Fall: Run the Called to Serve offertory program, introducing parishioners to My Catholic Will during the in-pew process.

  • Spring: Follow up with a mini-campaign or promotion to invite more parishioners to create or update their will, giving them another clear and timely opportunity to act.

Resources for Your Parish

  • My Catholic Will provides free tools for parishioners to create a legally binding will for free, and the opportunity to include a gift to their parish in the will.

Next Steps

If you haven’t already connected with your Advancement Director, now is the time. We’ll walk you through the resources, help you customize materials for your community, and answer questions about how to launch both Called to Serve and My Catholic Will in your parish.

Every parish is different, so every plan should be too.

If you’re not sure who your Advancement Director is, contact Mark Talcott at mark.talcott@archbalt.org and I’ll get you connected.

Let’s work together to make this year’s offertory program our strongest yet.
