Giving Tuesday - Together We Give

Save the Date - November 29, 2022

Last year was the first time the Archdiocese of Baltimore participated in the internationally recognized Giving Tuesday. There was a wonderful show of support from parishioners. More than $50,000 was raised directly benefiting parishes, advancing the vital work and ministries of our collective community. We will be hosting Giving Tuesday again this year, which will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Our hope is that parishioners across the Archdiocese will join us for a shared day of radical generosity that encourages and embraces giving online to support parishes and archdiocesan ministries.

There is a unique giving page created just for Giving Tuesday. You can share this giving link to collect donations on Giving Tuesday.

On the Giving Tuesday website, your parishioners can select your parish and make a special gift, and like the AOB Universal Giving Page, donations will be deposited into your parish bank account.

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for the archdiocese to create a collective moment of shared humanity and generosity, to tap into a sense of community that inspires giving. Funds raised during Giving Tuesday will help accelerate the impact of our giving to advance our ministries across the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

How can you make the most of Giving Tuesday?

Your Advancement Team has created a number of resources for you to promote Giving Tuesday and to encourage your parishioners to join the movement by making a gift to their parish.

The AOB is here to help!

The communications team at the AOB is also participating in Giving Tuesday to assist in promoting giving to parishes. Lookout for social media posts and Catholic Review ads! Please share the archdiocese social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Things you should know.

Many of our parishes have been leveraging technology to offset declines in offertory by incorporating and promoting online giving. Online giving across the archdiocese now makes up approximately 39% of annual offertory contributions! In FY22 122 parishes saw an increase in online giving. Parishes continue to utilize giving links during live stream masses and included QR code links to their giving pages in print materials. We see Giving Tuesday as a continuation of these efforts

Your parish can participate in several ways.

  • Post the giving links on your social media pages: www.bit.ly/GivingTuesdayAOB

  • Distribute the Giving Tuesday QR code the weekend before Giving Tuesday, November 26 & 27

  • Share information and ways to give in your bulletin - use the bulletin ad in the resources

  • Email or send a FlockNote to your parishioners

  • Share pulpit announcements during Masses prior to Giving Tuesday
